From Chevy to Ford-Used But Not Abused!

The 2010 Ford Ranger, which can be found at Pennsylvania Ford Dealership, comes with two engine choices.  One is a 2.3 liter 143 horsepower I4, and then there is the top of the line 4.0 liter 207 horsepower V6.  Both come standard with a five speed manual overdrive transmission but a five speed automatic with overdrive is an option.

Ford has equipped the Ranger with a three year or 36,000 mile basic warranty and a five year or 60,000 mile drivetrain, rust and roadside assistance.  The Ranger from Used Car Dealer Austin, received five stars for driver protection in front crash tests and three stars on rollover ratings.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Ranger it’s second highest ranking of “Acceptable” in frontal offset tests.  The Ranger comes standard with a  Roll Stability Control System, which helps prevent rollovers.  If the Ranger senses a rollover, it has a four channel anti-lock braking system to brake individual wheels and can cut the engine throttle to try and bring the vehicle back into upright position.  Side chest airbags are also standard.

Now the 2010 Chevrolet Colorado, which can be purchased at Wellington Chevrolet Dealers, comes with numerous engine options.  First there is the base engine which is a 2.9 liter four cylinder that creates 185 horsepower and 190 pound feet of torque.  Then there is a 3.7 liter five cylinder that creates 242 horsepower and 242 pound feet of torque.  And last but not least is the top of the line V8 that creates 300 horsepower and 320 pound feet of torque.  A four speed automatic transmission is standard with the V8 and the five cylinder, while the four cylinder gets a five speed manual transmission.

Chevy has also equipped the Colorado with a very basic protection package.  It includes; three years or 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and a five year or 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.  The Colorado also did very well on crash tests.  It received five stars for driver and front passenger protection in frontal crash tests, three stars for driver protection in side crash tests and five stars for rear passenger protection.  This vehicle also comes standard with front and side airbags, four wheel anti-lock brakes with disc’s in front and drums in the rear along with stability and traction control.

Chevy Uplander Offers Great TMV

We have seen plenty of great vehicles, such as the Chevy Malibu Dealership Burns Harbor, come from the General Motors line up.  One area that they have struggled with in the past is in the minivan class of vehicles.  One of the most successful attempts can be found at WA Used Cars; the Chevrolet Uplander.  The whole appeal of the Uplander was that it was a sporty version of other minivans but also led into what we now know as the Chevrolet Traverse.  You can find plenty of great minivan deals over at KS Used Cars if your family needs another vehicle.

We first met the Chevrolet Uplander in 2005 and the goal was to improve upon the current Chevy Venture minivan vehicle.  The sales were never strong enough to compete with the import models from Honda and Toyota, so the Uplander ceased production in 2008.  This means that you can get some amazing prices on a quality vehicle that just never was able to win the popularity contest.  For example, Edmunds.com estimates the True Market Value for the 2005 Uplander to be $5,959 and the 2008 TMV to be $11,377.  Those are great prices and your family will appreciate the stylish exterior that fits in much better with current vehicles on the road.

The Uplander was available in two different trim levels, LS and LT, and both had the ability to carry seven passengers.  The third row backseat featured a 50/50 split, which we still see on several models today.  The list of standard features included leather seats, rear-seat DVD systems, power accessories, power sliding doors, dual-zone climate control, and a multimedia console overhead.  Front-wheel drive was the standard feature, as well, but you could upgrade to all-wheel drive for added safety and functionality.  The base engine was a 3.5-liter V6 that put out 200 horsepower and eventually a 3.9-liter V6 that produced 240 horsepower was added to the options list.

Domestic Disasters from 2010!

When you go to CT Kia Dealers and check out their new inventory, you probably assume that all the vehicles on the lot are going to be good choices.  The craftsmanship has improved a lot in recent years among all the auto brands that are still in existence, however, you should still do your research before buying the first car you see.  There are some fantastic cars at Ford Greenfield and other car dealerships, both new and used, that will meet your auto needs.  Sometimes a certain year of a certain make and model just does not meet our usual standards.  Listed below are those duds from our domestic brands that you might want to avoid if they were produced in 2010; there is a model from Ford Dealer Los Angeles on this list!

In no particular order, you will want to think twice before buying a 2010 version of: Chrysler Sebring (or Dodge Avenger), Chevrolet Aveo, Lincoln Town Car, Ford Ranger, Dodge Caliber, or Chrysler PT Cruiser.  We aren’t saying that you couldn’t buy one of these cars and have a long and happy life together; just a word of caution that there might be something better on the lot.

The Chevrolet Aveo is just kind of a small, boring car.  Luckily there is a new redesign coming in the next couple of years, and other auto brands are delivering far more attractive and exciting subcompact cars.  There isn’t a thing in the world wrong with the Ford Ranger or Lincoln Town Car.  But, the Town Car has been in existence for far too long now and the current direction and style that Lincoln has developed no longer matches with the appearance of the Town Car.  This is likely the next model to be discontinued, so better to spend your hard-earned money on something fresh and new!  Also from the Ford family is the 2010 Ford Ranger.  This small truck is in desperate need of a face-lift, because consumers have seen the same design since 1993!

Lastly are the three (or four) offenders from the Chrysler family.  Even though the PT Cruiser hasn’t even been in production for all that long, it has never had a redesign since its debut.  There have been rumors that Chrysler will not be putting any effort into fixing the PT Cruiser, but will part ways with it in favor of something new.  The Dodge Caliber is truly awkward all around, and drivers usually opt for something more fuel efficient.  The final offender is the Chrysler Sebring or Dodge Avenger.  The two cars are identical and that is not exactly a good thing.  There are plenty of better sedans available from the competition with better exterior styling.

’07 Chevy Malibu vs ’07 Volkswagen Jetta; Which is Safer?

The 2007 Chevrolet Malibu Max received 5 out of 5 stars by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for frontal crash tests.  They were also given a “good” rating, which is the highest rating given, by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.  These ratings are based on the fact the vehicle was made with “high strength steel” which forms a protective structure around the passenger cabin, like the ones found at Peoria Chevrolet Dealers.  It is also equipped with many airbags.  The front airbags have ‘dual-stage technology’ which allows the strength of the airbags deployment to equal the strength of the impact.

Even though some say that the vehicle’s exterior styling is unattractive, which can be fixed by adding new tires from Brandenton Florida Tires, and that the performance isn’t the most exciting, it is still said to be a solid smooth ride with a comfortable interior.  The vehicle also has plenty of cargo space and excellent safety and crash scores.

The 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, which can be located at Phoenix Volkswagen Dealer Peoria, was given 4 out of 5 stars by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for protection of front seat occupants in a head on collision.  They also received 5 out 5 stars for front and rear occupant protection during a side impact.  The Insurance Institute Highway Safety awarded the Jetta “Top Safety Pick” silver award.

There are many safety features that the 2007 Jetta offers.  It comes with 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes; seat mounted side airbags for front occupants; full length head curtain airbags and a tire pressure monitor.  Even though Edmunds.com states that “The bland exterior styling contradicts nameplates youthful image”, there are many wonderful pros that come with this vehicle.  It is equipped with many safety features, a powerful turbo engine and a solid build.  It has also been said to be one of the most comfortable rides.

As far as looks and safety is concerned, my personal vote would be for the 2007 Volkswagen Jetta.  Even though the Malibu may be more roomy, the Jetta has a sleeker more professional look.  Not to mention the 2007 Volkswagen Jetta has a few more safety features than the 2007 Chevy Malibu.

Tips for Buying Used Corvettes

chevy corvetteWhen buying used Corvette’s the buyer needs to be extra careful as a used Corvette is worth much more than just your regular run of the mill Sioux City used car. Most cars go down in value but Corvettes actually increase in value and depending on the year the car can really be quite expensive.

When buying a used Corvette in Iowa City never take the seller’s word on anything especially if they say the car is correct and faithfully restored. There are many perfectly restored cars that have turned, during inspection, to have been restored with non genuine parts. One guy was looking at a 1977 Corvette with the high output L-82 badges on the hood. He double checked the car’s VIN to make sure everything was on the up and up, but found out that the Corvette was built with the base engine, not the L-82 as the badges on the hood denoted. So be extra careful and really check out your car before buying.

Some used Chevrolet Corvettes are a much better value than others. If you want to buy one just for it’s appreciation value, there are many resources that try to predict that such as Corvette Market magazine. The bottom line is that the Corvettes that will really appreciate in value, are those that are going to cost quite a bit up front. Corvettes from 1953 to 1972 have the most upside potential. But why buy a Corvette with great potential if you don’t really like it? I’d rather buy one that I loved but wasn’t worth as much.

There are some Corvettes that you should not buy at all for whatever reason. The 1984 year was the first year of a whole redesign and new factory, so they are renowned for problems. The 1983 Corvettes were so bad that GM decided to not even sell them.

One of the best?

You can find used cars that are in great condition at Cincinnati Ford and at Cadillac Services. The corvette has been around for ever, and for every generation it was the car to own. Into days times buying used is the smart thing to do. Saves you money and time. Not only that but 9 times out of 10 you get a good car out of the deal, but is the corvette one of the best cars to have even if it was pre owned?

A new car takes money but a corvette takes a lot of money. The starting price brand new is close to 50,000 strait off the lot, and for most who buy this car its well worth it. they love the power, handling, and the edge it gives them. A corvette offers a lot, but if you can afford used get the history for the car because chances are its for sale for a reason.

Over all even a used corvette is still worth the money you pay for it. These car don’t always rank so highly in safety, but for the thrill seeker they are a favorite. They offer the horse power and the handling most cars cant even come close to.  The corvette is a great buy for the driver and passenger along with the fun ride it provides. There is no way around the power it gives off so be careful if you like to go fast.

The interior of this car was always a luxury. Everything to the seat covers to the features it offers. Even the older model cars are still wanted among to days generation. The exterior also plays into the way this car sells. The sleek main stream look is present in this car along with the edge bold look.

Even used this car is amazing buy but i wouldn’t recommended it for families this car is defiantly meant for the younger edge generations. This car holds its own against any other sports car that you can buy used.
