J.D. Power and Associates have been a long time trusted source for consumers.  They publish numerous annual reports on the quality of vehicles and how satisfied consumers are with their purchases.  Their “Vehicle Dependability Study” takes data for three years from consumers and then takes the improvement suggestions back to the auto makers.  Places like NC Nissan Dealer find ways for their engineers to update the vehicles so that consumers continue to see improvements and be satisfied.  Cars from Peoria VW don’t just keep getting better on their own, they rely on the input from drivers!  Listed below are the five most dependable brands, according to the study by J.D. Power and Associates.

Lincoln received the best score, getting five out of five points for all four categories!  Buick got all five points for overall dependability, as well as the categories of power train dependability and the car’s features and accessories.  It only received four out of five points in the body and interior category.  Other domestic brand Mercury also got five out of five for overall performance.  It is interesting because in the other three categories (interior, power train, and features) the brand only received four out of five points.  Congratulations to Lincoln Mercury South Jersey and other domestic brands for how well their vehicles were rated!

Import brand Lexus did pretty well, getting five points for overall dependability, power train performance, and the exterior and interior areas.  The features and amenities were scored three out of five; a sign that Lexus needs to put a bit more “wow” factor into their amenities and features.  Porsche was the other import brand, scoring five points in overall dependability, power train performance, and the longevity of the interior and exterior finishes.  Porsche scored four out of five points for features and accessories.
