Used Car Buying Checklist
Before you purchase a used vehicle from Savage Kia or any other dealership, there is a checklist of things you should do. It is important that you do your research on the vehicle as much as possible. Dublin Commercial Ford Trucks and other dealerships can be trustworthy, but you should still be sure that you know exactly what you are getting when you buy your used vehicle. Schafer Chevrolet Pontiac offers a wide range of excellent new and used GM models, and you can get the car that you want when you perform all of the steps of this checklist.
The first thing to do is to get the used car history report. This report can show information about the vehicle that you might not be able to find elsewhere like whether or not the vehicle was involved in an accident or disaster. You can ask your dealership to provide you with this report or you can get it yourself if you know the VIN number of the vehicle. The vehicle may have its VIN number located on the drivers side of the windshield, but vehicles vary in the location of this number.
You will also want to check for some mechanical problems, and you do not need to be a mechanic to some some of the more obvious ones. Use the dipstick to check the engine oil. Check the car body for dinks or marks, corrosion spots, scratches, broken mirrors, worn wipers, missing hub caps or that sort of thing. The dealer may fix this problem or adjust the price of the vehicle for these problems. It is not recommended to buy a vehicle that has been involved in a serious accident even though it may seem to be in good condition. These vehicles typically have other problems that will spring up later on such as alignment issues, air condition problems, corrosion, and others.
